About US

MISSION

Helping Hands and Beyond (HHB) is a non-profit humanitarian organization established and dedicated to educating and promoting wellness, by encouraging and stimulating healing and recovery.

To assess and acknowledge the dignity and equality of each human being, thus, fostering wholeness for all peoples, especially those who are vulnerable and the poor.

To achieve this mission, we aid people who are suffering, particularly victims of conflicts and wars, famines, and natural disasters.

To support the growth, education, and empowerment of a girl child through humanitarian assistance and practical creation of opportunities for adolescent girls for them to attain their dreams and aspirations.

The senior citizens are not left behind. Our mission is to promote and improve the well-being of older persons through social reforms, periodic free medical check-ups, and adequate medical treatments and surgery.

We love humanity irrespective of color, gender, race, and country. We believe that everyone has the right to live well and exist with the basic amenities of life. It is our mission to extend helping hands to people of the world.

HISTORY

Our humanitarian history is dated back to November 2009. The foundation of our organization was established with the desire to extend unconditional compassionate care to the vulnerable, disadvantaged, and impoverished.

  • We aim to foster wholeness for all people. For the past 14 years, people from all walks of life especially from the health and medical sectors, have served as volunteers in achieving this objective.
  • Some worked in emergency relief mobile clinics in camp settings in villages, treating children and adults from extremely poor communities with few medical resources.
  • We have coordinated multiple youth enrichment camps offering sports, arts, crafts, music, dance, field trips, life skills, personal growth, and esteem-building activities to homeless boys and girls, ranging from ages 5 to 15.
  • We have built a functional medical clinic that transitioned to a government-approved hospital in Haiti with medical personnel working 24/7 attending to the sick, pregnant women, seniors, and children.

ACHIEVEMENTS

  • Over 200,000 people have received humanitarian assistance through our organization.
  • In Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, USA, our charity giving has been of immense assistance to the less privileged.
  • Our humanitarian shores are beyond borders hence, these countries like Haiti, St Kitts, Grenada, Sierra Leone, Johannesburg, and Zanzibar have received our meal donations, medical treatments, and welfare packs.
  • Haiti, the poorest country in the Caribbean, ransacked with extreme poverty and bouts of natural disasters, has received countless humanitarian support from HHB.
  • We have built of a functional medical hospital for the community in Haiti.
  • We bought ambulances to support our mobile medical clinics in villages.
  • We have sponsored over 50 international humanitarian mission trips.
  • About 25-30 volunteers participated in each trip.
  • We have established an ongoing healthy living assistance program in the countries mentioned above.
  • A  rehabilitation center has been successfully built in Haiti and a maternity center is ongoing and requires funds for the expansion and completion.
  • Distribution of over 1 million meal packs and welfare packages for different communities in these countries.
  • Our medical team of certified doctors and nurses have treated numerous illnesses and diseases during the COVID-19 Pandemic, cholera outbreak, multiple natural disasters with the distribution of relief food kits, sanitizers and face marks to hundreds of thousands of recipients.
  • Skill acquisition centers have been organized to support youth activities that promote life skills, personal growth, and self-esteem.
  • A Children's Village has also been established with 12-bed orphanage home for girls, fully equipped for comfortable living. It is called  La Maisson D’accueil.
  • Presently, we have commenced the construction of a maternity  and peadiatric ward to accommodate a greater number of women and nursing mothers in need of medical treatments due to abject poverty.
